Open Hours Are Expanding This Spring and Summer!

We are continuing our Open Hours and expanding them this spring and summer! With these new times, we hope to maintain outdoor access for a greater number of Somerville residents, and to enable as many folks to enjoy the winding walks, herbs gardens, sunshine, and nature watching afforded by our slice of greenery in the city.

Spring and Summer Open Hours at the Growing Center:

Tuesday afternoons, 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm

Friday mornings, 10:00 am to 12:00 pm

Saturday afternoons, 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm

Sunday mornings, 10:00 am to 12:00 pm Please be sure to check our calendar, here, to confirm exact dates and times before planning to visit. We are still holding new volunteer orientations, so please be in touch if you're interested in hosting or getting involved in our other volunteer opportunities. In the interest of keeping our community safe and healthy, we've created guidelines in accordance with the City of Somerville's re-opening plans, which you can learn more about here. The Growing Center asks that all visitors to the garden respect the following guidelines upon entering the space:

• Visits are limited to 20 people at any one time (10 in the upper garden and 10 in the lower)

• Wash/Sanitize your hands when you enter and leave the garden

• Please wear a face mask or cloth covering at all times that social distancing is not possible

• Keep social distance, maintain 6 feet from anyone not in your party, and allow others to pass

• If you are exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19 or have been recently been exposed, please stay home

• Please do not touch or use communal surfaces

• Keep your visit short

• Please note, bathrooms are closed and you must carry out all trash

• If we are at capacity please come back another time!

• If you have a question, please ask the volunteer host!
