Inhabit Movie Event

August 7, 2017

Strengthening our local communities is a primary step in addressing climate change. We have the resources in our neighborhoods to be resilient in the face of food insecurity, soil loss, social injustice, energy costs, waste, and pollution. Permaculture is a positive message for change and provides a framework to help us address complex issues with simple human-centered solutions that build on each other.

On August 22nd at 7:00 pm, we present an outdoor showing of the documentary film Inhabit at The Somerville Community Growing Center in Union Square. This award-winning movie explores permaculture through the lens of rural, suburban, and urban landscapes--many of them right in here in the Boston area.

Bring your picnic and enjoy the show!

Lisa DePiano, featured in the film, will speak beforehand. She is a certified Permaculture designer and co-founder of the Montview Neighborhood Farm, a human-powered farm and edible forest garden in Northampton. She has a Master’s degree in Regional Planning from UMass and loves working with people to create the world they want to live in.
