Second Chances Public Clothing Drive

Wednesday, September 27th | 4:00pm - 7:00pm: Second Chances reuses and recycles clothing, shoes, and accessories so that homeless and lower-income people feel confident and valued as they take their first steps toward brighter futures and, as a community, we can minimize the amount of apparel going into local landfills.Did you know that the average American generates 80 pounds of textile waste each year? That's four or five large garbage bags full! Please help people in need in our community and protect our planet by donating your un-needed clothing, shoes, and accessories to Second Chances.

What to donate: Women’s, men’s, and children’s clothing, shoes, and accessories from any era, including coats, belts, hats, costume jewelry, purses, bags, and Halloween costumes. We can also use blankets, sheets, pillowcases, towels, curtains, placemats, cloth napkins, and tablecloths.Second Chances' clients need clothing for all kinds of activities including work, relaxing, dressy events, sports, and more.

How to donate: Place your clothing, shoes and accessories in a plastic or paper bag (no hangers or large boxes, please).

Second Chances recycles all plastic bags and paper packaging from these drives as well, thanks to the City of Cambridge's Recycling Program.Learn more at www.secondchances.org
